Methodology

HEAT Cambodia Music Index

HEAT keeps a living record of Cambodian music. It connects history to the future, and shares it with the world using world-standard data.

The public chart is one output of this system. A song is ranked by the method below — not by a hidden score, and not by lifetime totals.

1. Five platforms

Every day we read the same five platforms:

• YouTube
• Spotify
• Apple Music
• Facebook
• TikTok

2. What we record

Views. Comments. Daily momentum. Each signal is written to the ledger every day, so the record can be checked over time.

3. Fraud filter

Our own fraud detection system checks the signals before they count. Abnormal spikes and empty engagement are filtered out, so the ledger stays clean.

4. How the chart is ranked

The chart ranks songs released in the last 90 days by current velocity. That is the output you see: what is moving now, from a record that is kept in the open.
